Hopefully this means we get hit with another massive s nowstorm! The Volvo has been washed, vacuumed and filled with both gas and spare parts . I’ll be picking up the new owner at the airport tomorrow morning....

How’d you find a buyer that fast?!

Is that a spoiler on the back???

My inbox blew up when I put it up on Volvo forums . Didn’t even bother with Craigslist. Believe it or not there are two p eople from California and one from Ohio in line to fly up and drive it back.. .

Huh... Did you tell them they have to join Oppo as a condition of the sale? I'd have bugged you to let me drive it if I knew it'd be gone so fast!

I genuinely wish you and a few others around here could have driven it. But there's always the V70!
I chatted with the guy on the phone for a good hour, I think he'll update me every once in a while on the 850.

That pic is insane.

I like it a lot. I don't have any epic snow pics from the mountains like I did last year, but I have some good ones from around town. And honestly... I like driving through the empty snow-filled city streets even more than hooning up in the mountains

I concur. It is so much more enjoyable. Especially at 3AM in Everett with 1 to 2 inches of packed dry snow. Mmmmm...

You played yourself. Good job

So, exactly how soft did you end up getting after daily ing the 850 for a while?
Got a game plan for getting the V70 back into shape?

Kind of like a poor man’s parody of 007 at the ski resort, but with this instead of a Lotus.
This should be a desktop pic.

........very soft. Getting in the Miata when it’s *cold* and.... RAINY... oh man. Better fix the V70 asap.
Game plan is to buy sparkplugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. Replace all that, fill the gas tank, j umpstart the battery and hope. If that doesn't do it I'll probably have it towed to a shop

2-3 ” is the sweet spot. Enough to get people off the roads and have plenty of fun, not enough to give you too much trouble.

I wish we’d get that, it’s so much fun. My car goes right over/through 3” of snow with winter tires, but not all these 6+” storms we keep getting since my car is too low for that.

Yeah, I’ll bet that, even without considering the h oon factor, driving it in the snow is more pleasurable than driving in the rain.
You know which cylinder is out, right? Have you looked at the plug or tested for spark?

Also, enjoy this closer-up photo of those wagons from this morning:

You know, despite the Miata I really don’t like red cars.
Unless they're Volvos. I'm jealous of your proximity to IPD!

I’m trying to come up with a justification to buy the V70 when it comes up for sale, but I'm pretty sure my Mrs. would respond with a death stare for asking... :/

It’s convenient to have them so close, but also dangerous

Close the gap on the plugs a little, only buy a Bosch cap and rotor and Bougicord plug wires. Or NGK plug wires if you want to go a little cheaper. You can also swap out the ignition module and see if it is the problem. My V70 T5M had an MSD ignition module because it was cheaper than the stock module.
